The Dental Council of NSW has developed an information sheet which outlines its inspection/audit process. When conducting inspection/audits, the Council uses this Infection Control Checklist . These documents are made available to the profession to facilitate transparency of the Council's assessment and inspection processes.

The Dental Board of Australia has published additional information and resources relating to the infection prevention and control obligations of dental practitioners. It is the responsibility of every registered dental practitioner to ensure they meet their infection control obligations.  These resources include a self-reflective tool to help practitioners think about and improve their infection prevention and control practices.
